English Class/thursday/26th- Guided Conversation

What's up? In order to know how your English Understanding is, I decided to put you on proof.In this Class you'll have the opportunity to show yourself how good you are .I'll separate you in two or three groups. To each group I'll give two equal conversations in Portuguese. In these conversations , you'll find many structures we've been studying in our last classes.I strongly believe that you all are able to translate and perform these conversations in class.The way I see it,if you help one another , everything will be easy and funny.Good luck!


Conversation One:

*Olá meu amigo!Quais são as novas?
#Estou procurando um emprego novo , mas está difícil.
*Eu sei , mas embora seja dificil, você precisa continuar tentando.
#As vezes me sinto como se fosse um animal procurando comida.
*Pense antes de falar. Até onde eu sei , você não é um animal.Mesmo que você não acredite nisso, você é mais inteligente do que pensa.
#Muito obrigado minha amiga/meu amigo. Eu gosto de você como se fosse minha irmã/meu irmão.
*É muita bondade sua!Que horas são , por favor?
#Faltam vinte para as oito, por quê?
*Caraca!Estou atrasada para meus cursos!
#Cursos? O que você quer dizer?
*Estou estudando Inglês e Espanhol.
#Tchau e tenha uma boa aula.


Conversation Two:

*Com licença senhor, pode me ajudar?
#Lógico que sim!Em que posso ajuda la?
*Eu preciso ir a esse endereço e não sei qual ônibus tomar.
#Deixa eu ver...Não se preocupe madame/rapaz.Você pode pegar o 165-A ou o 182-C porque ambos vão para esse lugar.
*Muitíssimo obrigado senhor. Embora eu more aqui desde Janeiro, eu ainda não conheço a cidade muito bem.
#É compreensível, porque minha irmã, assim como meu amigo Anderson,nunca sabe qual onibus tomar para voltar pra casa. Eles dois costumam me ligar quando estão perdidos.


Vocabulary:

endereço = landmark
é muita bondade sua = it's very kind of you!
voltar pra casa = to get home/to get back home
pegar/tomar onibus = to take a bus
fazer curso = to take a course
